Holiday weekend start up! We had a great time at Halfingers Farm. It was our last volunteer experience of the year. We ended it with lemonade and donut holes. After lunch we went to Sheldon Park where the kids enjoyed the sunshine.
Students went to stretch and enjoyed some yoga. They gave Miss Alicia a plant and card! They also went to clean Youth and Family Services and the library in the afternoon.
The Peabody was a fun time. Students saw all kinds of fun things like dinosaurs, mummies, animals, and artifacts.
It was a blustery and chilly day! We decided to hike at Chatfield Hollow and have lunch instead of going to the beach. We walked over 3 miles, had a picnic lunch, and flew a kite. We saw some familiar faces and some friendly doggies while we were there! Great day!
Today we went with the Oak Hill School to get some vegetables and flowers for our garden. Students bought tomatoes, lettuce, onion, pepper, swiss chard, and marigolds. It was a great time. We came back and turned over the soil and put new dirt down.
Students helped plant seeds in soil today! They loved the activity!
They also got crafty and made mother's day presents! |
