Students worked at Halfingers Farm filling trays and pots. They then had a hearty lunch at Dinos. Students ordered their own food and paid for their meals. Great day for the day before spring break.
Students went to Saybrook at Haddam to volunteer. They helped set up the dining room and clean.
Students went to the library to exchange books and pick out new ones. They also picked out a movie to watch later today. Students then went to Wesleyan University for lunch and had to maneuver through all the lunch lines and speak loudly and clearly. They watched a movie upon return. Great day!
Today we volunteered at Halfingers Farm and loaded about 1,000 pots into containers! We then went to the Haddam Senior Center and did a fun activity painting Easter Eggs with the seniors. What a great day in the Higganum/Haddam Community.
Students joined friends from another 18-21 program at Shift Cycling in Guilford. They loved it. They all put forth a ton of effort on the bike while listening to inspiring music. They finished off with yoga. It was great.Students went to see Beauty and the Beast. They paid for tickets and a couple got snacks. It was a good outing to see their awareness around their environment.
(ie: people behind them in line- prompt to move out of line to organize money, use of public restrooms) Students volunteered at the Saybrook at Haddam today. They cleaned some general rooms, and helped clean kitchen areas.
We went to lunch at Saybrook Soup and Sandwich. A fellow classmate works there. We put the tables together and everyone ordered their own food. Great outing! Great people working!
Students worked on cookie dough ornaments at Haddam Senior Center. Afterwards they went to clean the space at Youth and Family while some went to the library.
Students went to Stop and Shop to buy food. Upon returning they made a group lunch.
