Great job volunteering at Halfingers today!
Took a nice walk along Haddam Meadows too! Although some students were absent we still went to Downtown Middletown. Students looked at various community objects (ie: recycling, mailbox) and saw community helpers (ie: fireman, policeman). Students worked on crossing the streets safely and being more aware of their surroundings - paying attention to where they were walking. Students also ate lunch at BrewBakers and enjoyed ordering and paying for their items.
After lunch we went to Stop and Shop where we shopped for our end of the year groceries. Beautiful Day for everything! Today we filled circle pots. Students enjoyed the warmth working in the greenhouse while feeling a nice breeze. Everyone did so good and we ended up filling 2,500!
Students enjoyed some early morning yoga. In the afternoon the greenhouse at Halfingers Farm kept us safe from the hail and rain. We filled 900 containers with planters. All the kids loved it and felt very good about themselves.
We went to the Post Office and mailed some packages. Students helped fill out packages. They also helped count the money to mail the packages. We bought stamps also. Students then went off to Youth and Family Services to clean.
