Students enjoyed making two crafts. One photo frame and one memory board. They worked on many fine motor skills such as painting, cutting, tracing, gluing, and folding.
Students then enjoyed lunch at Friendly's. They paid for their own meals. It was great. Today students went to the post office to mail some envelopes and one student used his debit card to buy stamps!
Then they went to Dunkin Donuts and bought and ordered some of their own items to eat for lunch. Great experience. On September 19th we started a new volunteer program at The Saybrook at Haddam. Student cleaned some spaces and other helped out in the dining room/kitchen. Lots to do!
We met up with another 18-21 Program. We went on a hike, to the Nature Center, and had a picnic on the beach. After the picnic we collected shells and enjoyed the sunshine.
Miniature Golf was a blast! On September 1st. Students loved being by the water and having a great time. We also celebrated a friends birthday.
